Stock management
Correct stock counts, book stock in by scanning barcodes, and set sell prices across many parts at once.
Most stock changes happen on their own — parts go out on jobs and come in on purchase orders. This page covers the times you change stock yourself.
Correct a stock count
After a stocktake, or when something is damaged or miscounted:
WRMS Pro records the difference as a Manual adjustment in the part's stock history, with who made it and when.
Changing a quantity by hand needs Inventory → Adjust stock, which is separate from Inventory → Edit. Someone who can tidy up part descriptions cannot necessarily write stock off.
Scan barcodes
If your parts have barcodes, you can use your phone or tablet camera instead of searching.
If the part is found, WRMS Pro shows Current stock and lets you:
- Add to Stock — enter how many arrived;
- Edit Part.
If no part has that barcode, choose Create New Part and the barcode is filled in for you.
Set sell prices in bulk
To price many parts as cost plus a markup:
Sell price is set to unit cost × multiplier for the affected parts. Quantities do not change.
