What is WRMS Pro?
A hosted workshop management system for automotive service businesses, covering the front counter, the workshop floor and billing.
WRMS Pro (Workshop Repair Management Software) is an online system for running an automotive workshop. You use it in a web browser on a computer, tablet or phone, and it can be installed to your home screen like an app. There is nothing to install on a server: WRMS Pro is provided as a hosted service.
What it covers
| Area | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Front counter | Keep customer and vehicle records, book work in, answer "where's my car?" |
| The job | Open a work order, assign a technician and bay, add parts and labour, record time, run digital inspections |
| Planning | See the week on the Work Board and calendar, by technician or by bay |
| Money | Quote, get the customer's acceptance, invoice, record or take payment, handle GST |
| Stock | Track parts and quantities, suppliers, purchase orders and low-stock alerts |
| Customers | Share quotes, invoices and inspection reports by link; message customers by SMS, WhatsApp or Telegram; send video status updates |
| Tyre storage | Store customers' seasonal tyre sets and track where they are (optional module) |
| Oversight | Reports, an audit log of changes, roles and permissions |
Who uses it
WRMS Pro is built for independent workshops through to multi-bay service centres. In a typical shop:
- the owner or manager sets the workshop up, watches the numbers and decides who can do what;
- service advisors at the front counter create customers, vehicles, quotes and work orders, and talk to customers;
- technicians see their jobs, record findings, add parts and clock their time;
- whoever handles accounts follows up unpaid invoices and records payments.
Everyone signs in to the same workshop, and each person sees what their role allows. See Users and roles.
What it does not do (yet)
So that nobody plans around something that is not there, these are not part of the current release:
- a logged-in customer portal (customers use share links instead) — see Customer portal;
- a public REST API (webhooks are available) — see Developer;
- connections to Xero, MYOB or Burson EzyParts — see Integrations;
- working without an internet connection.
