Labor presets

Save the labour and parts for jobs you do all the time, then add them to a work order or quote in one step.

A labour preset (shown as Labor Presets in the menu) is a saved job: the labour lines and parts that make up something you do often, like a standard service or a brake pad replacement. Adding a preset fills in the lines so the price is the same every time.

When to use it

Standard services with a fixed menu price.
Common repairs where the labour time is predictable.
Making sure nobody forgets the sump plug washer.

Before you start

Labor Presets → Create permission. New workshops start with six presets, such as Oil change, Front brake pads and Annual service; edit them to match your prices.

Create a preset

Open Labor Presets and select Add Labor Preset.

Choose Single Item (one labour line) or Package (several lines and parts).

Name it and add a description.

Under Labor Items, add each line with its description and either Hours and Rate (hourly) or a quantity and price (fixed service price).

Under Parts, add parts by hand or use Import from inventory so the right stocked part is used.

Select Create Package.

Use a preset

On a work order or quote, add a labour preset and choose it from Select Labor Package. Its lines are added to the job, where you can still change them.
From the preset list, choose Use on a vehicle to start a job with it.

Parts from inventory in a preset reduce stock when they are added to a work order, just like parts added one by one.
